Melissa Benoist
Melissa Marie Benoist (Littleton, October 4, 1988) is an actress and singer best known American for his role as the title character, Kara Zor-El, on CBS / The CW superhero Supergirl drama.

 Marley Rose in the fourth and fifth seasons of the Fox musical comedy-drama television series Glee, and has appeared in several television series, including Homeland, The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. also appeared in films such as Danny Collins, The Longest Ride and the Oscar-winning 2014 movie Whiplash.

Melissa was born in Houston and grew up in Littleton, Colorado. is the daughter of Julie Renee (Smith) and James Logan Benoist. Benoist has two sisters, Jessica and Kristina. He graduated from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado in 2007, and Marymount Manhattan College in New York in 2011.

In May 2012, she auditioned for Glee in New York at the Roundabout Theatre Company, singing a different tune for each of the five tests, including: "Fidelity" by Regina Spektor, "King of Anything" by Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat one song, and several pieces of musical theater. In July, she had two screen tests in California to the series creator / writer Ryan Murphy, casting directors and executive producers.

 Glee co-star Darren Criss appeared with Josh Duhamel at the opening of the 2013 Kids Choice Awards. In the same year, she was selected as an ambassador for the new product Coca Cola, P10 300 ml Coke Mismo. In June 2013, they were taken to Manila, Philippines to endorse the product, visiting different malls and meeting with fans.

Melissa played Nicole, Miles Teller love interest in the movie Whiplash 2014, which won top prizes (Grand jury and the public) at the Sundance Film Festival 2014.

In June 2014, Benoist joined Nicholas Sparks movie adaptation 'The Longest Ride like Marcia.

In May 2015, it was announced that Melissa will be playing Lorelai in Lowriders film, replacing Lily Collins and Nicola Peltz, who were in negotiations for the role before.

In August 2015, Melissa got the lead role in the Screen Gems film drama of Oxford, with Sam Heughan as its protagonist.

In October 2015, the first episode of fiction superhero adventure drama series, Supergirl with Melissa in the lead role of Kara Zor-El aired on CBS, while the second season of the series premieres on The CW.

 presenter at People's Choice Awards 42nd, which aired on January 6, 2016 on CBS, and the 73rd Golden Globe Awards, broadcast January 10, 2016, presented along with The Flash star and his former Glee co -star, Grant Gustin. Melissa married former co-star, Blake Jenner in March 2015.
